Title: Construction Manager
Duration: 12+ months
Location: Phoenix, AZ. (NV and NM travel may be required)
Schedule/Hours : This will be a hybrid role. 60% will be in office and 40% will be in field. There may be possible travel to NV or NM. Please confirm your candidate can work any combination of office days and field days (Monday - Friday). 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM AZ time
Responsibilities
• Ability to organize work across several different projects simultaneously
• Communicate updates in a concise and timely manner
• Collaborate with internal shareholders in Engineering, Permitting, Regulatory, Operations, and Project Delivery to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Fiber construction drawing and design proficiency
• Small cell construction drawing and design proficiency
• OSP fiber construction (bore, trench, aerial placement, leased duct)
• Node and power construction (foundation, pole installation, power installation, RF component installation, troubleshooting)
• Understanding of the process for bringing metered power to a small cell site
• Construction crew management
• Understanding of 811 utility location process and best practices for safe sub-surface construction
• Excel and Smart Sheets
Education/Certifications
• High School degree
• A valid driver’s license required
• OSHA 10 or preferred
Experience/Minimum Requirements
• Minimum three (3) years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience
• General knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground) for SCS.
• General knowledge of Small Cell Construction techniques.
• Familiarity with test equipment and techniques for performing OTDR, PIM, and SWEEP
• General knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards.
Working Conditions : Will be required to travel to project sites with exposure to heavy equipment and environmental conditions 40% of the time. Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions 60% of the time.
