Role Description

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing signage projects from kickoff through

installation and closeout. This role ensures all deliverables are completed on time,

within budget, and to customer satisfaction. A successful Project Manager is highly

organized, proactive, detail-driven, and skilled at coordinating across multiple

departments—including Design, Permitting, Production, Field, Service, and

Shipping—while providing exceptional communication to clients and internal teams.

Core Responsibilities

Project Planning & Initiation:

  • Review and understand the full project scope, customer expectations, timelines,

permitting needs, and deliverables.

  • Develop project schedules and internal task plans.
  • Identify required materials, equipment, site conditions, manufacturing constraints,

and installation requirements.

Coordination & Resource Management:

  • Communicate cross-departmentally (Design, Permitting, Production, Field,

Service, Shipping) per Ezzi Signs communication standards.

  • Ensure drawings, surveys, and approvals are obtained on time.
  • Track key milestones, fabrication status, shipping dates, and installation

schedules.

  • Resolve conflicts or delays by coordinating with internal teams and partners.

Schedule, Change & Risk Management

  • Build, maintain, and monitor project schedules.
  • Identify risks, delays, or scope issues early and escalate early and often.
  • Adjust timelines and resource allocations to maintain committed deadlines.
  • Track all changes to scope, budget, or schedule and communicate promptly.
  • Ensure all change orders receive written approval before work proceeds.

Documentation, Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including surveys, drawings, change

orders, approvals, vendor quotes, and correspondence.

  • Provide proactive communication to customers regarding project updates,

delays, milestones, and next steps.

  • Participate in weekly PM team meetings.
  • Complete weekly 1-on-1 check-ins with the Team Lead.
  • Maintain weekly status updates for assigned programs or accounts.

Budget & Purchasing

  • Monitor expenses, vendor quotes, and budget variances.
  • Implement cost-control measures when applicable.
  • Issue purchase orders for product, fabrication, surveys, installations, and freight.
  • Communicate cost-impacting changes to the Sales Executive immediately.

Project Closeout

  • Confirm all deliverables have been completed per customer expectations.
  • Ensure all final documents (photos, permits, COs, warranty info, etc.) are

received

  • Conduct project closure review to identify process or quality improvements.
  • Support smooth handoff to Accounting for final invoicing.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with customers and internal

teams.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability under changing or challenging

conditions.

  • Ability to understand drawings, surveys, build specifications, and installation

requirements.

  • Ability to identify issues early and drive to resolution.
  • Working knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and common signage types.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in the signage industry
  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Full-time availability with standard 8-hour workday + 1-hour lunch; occasional

after-hours work if required.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while still following department processes.
