Job Description

Job Summary

The Structural Design Engineer will lead the structural design of customized AC/DC Power Modules, IT Modules, and Data Centers supporting IT, Telecom, and Industrial markets. The role includes pre-sales and post-sales design, coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and collaboration with manufacturing facilities to deliver compliant, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions in accordance with local and international building codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Lead Structural Engineer for conceptual and detailed structural design.
  • Develop SD, DD, and CD structural design packages and narratives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, municipal, and international building codes (seismic, thermal, structural).
  • Design structural elements including foundations, lifting/anchoring points, mechanical parts, and enclosures .
  • Perform static and dynamic (blast impact) calculations .
  • Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, thermal, and civil teams .
  • Review and approve structural submittals and material specifications.
  • Support factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) .
  • Manage and coordinate external engineering contractors .
  • Define and support welding, NDE, surface preparation, painting, load testing, and dimensional testing procedures .
  • Provide quality control , site support, and repair guidance during fabrication and installation.
  • Travel to fabrication facilities for design validation, inspections, and audits .
  • Provide technical support to customers and offer innovative, cost-effective design solutions .

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or acceptable equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 4 years of mechanical/structural engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and equipment specifications
  • Strong knowledge of local and national building codes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements

Preferred (Optional):

  • Professional Engineering ( PE ) License
